Our Maison was deeply moved by the union of Beauty and Humanity that emanates from this place. How does one describe a five-star hotel? Certainly not in a purely rational way… Beauty is everywhere — from the horse that welcomes you, to the sumptuous chandelier reflecting light, to the sweeping views of the Champagne vineyards.

Once a coaching inn on the road to Reims, a sacred site for the Kings of France since Clovis, the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa was one of Napoleon and his generals’ favorite stops. Centuries later, the charm of this stopover remains intact. The memory of this emperor is omnipresent throughout this prestigious hotel.
The experience of beauty
A first meeting in October 2022, then a second in December, and a third in January. Our Maison was delighted to see the project take shape and finally come to life in March 2023.
Maison Alcée’s ambition: to offer Royal Champagne guests a beautiful and educational journey into the mysterious universe of Time. A moment suspended out of time, with captivating exchanges between enthusiasts and amateurs..
A workshop at the heart of time
On Thursday, March 16, 2023, the first workshop was held in this exceptional place, the Royal Champagne.
From the history of Maison Alcée to discovering this craft with its thousands of tools, each participant had the chance to step into the watchmaker’s shoes and take part in assembling the Persée desk clock.

Watchmaking is an art profession that holds a very special place, even among other fields of excellence. It involves an almost philosophical approach to the fascinating concept of Time and demands a level of scientific understanding rarely found in other manual trades. What an honor it is to share the beauty of watchmaking expertise with curious minds who do not practice it professionally — this is why watchmaking transmission is at the very heart of Maison Alcée.
