Privacy Policy
The General Data Protection Regulation is a set of laws established by the European Commission, effective from May 25, 2018, for all companies operating in Europe.
What does this mean in real terms?
To protect internet users from data leaks or the misuse of personal information, companies are now required to inform visitors about all digital processing carried out using the data collected.
Like all e-commerce businesses, we collect data from our visitors and work with several third-party providers who therefore have access to some of this data.
Some data is essential to offer you the best possible experience on our site and to ensure your order is processed smoothly. Other browsing data is not essential to your visit experience and simply allows us to tailor the content of our advertising messages to your browsing profile.
Does Maison Alcée sell my personal data?
Some companies exchange customer files for marketing purposes but rest assured, this is not and will never be the case at Maison Alcée. All the data we collect stays with us and will never be shared, rented, or sold to third parties.
Is my password safe?
All passwords are stored in encrypted form and cannot be decrypted. This means your password is secure.
What about my credit card number?
For credit card payments, we work with « Caisse d’Epargne », which ensures the security of your data. We do not store your banking information, and we never have access to your credit card number at any time.
What personal data do you collect about me?
Orders
When you create a customer account on our website, we store all the necessary information to process your order: your email address, full name, postal address, and phone number. This allows us to prepare and deliver your order.
These order-related details are shared only with our shipping provider, who ensures your package is delivered to your address.
This provider is strictly prohibited from using your data for anything other than processing your order and is required to delete this information from their systems once the delivery is completed. The data is stored in data centers located in Europe.
However, if you choose delivery outside of Europe, your personal data, such as your postal address, will necessarily be transmitted to the carrier’s logistics services in the destination country.
Newsletter
If you’ve given your consent, we use your email address to send you our newsletter. If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our newsletters. The change takes effect immediately.
Contact or appointment request
If you submit a contact or appointment request, we use your first name, last name, title, email address, and phone number to connect you with our team and ensure you receive a response.
Advertising
Like most online retailers, we record visits to our website in order to display targeted advertisements while you browse other websites. This process does not involve any personal data. Neither the advertising networks nor the third-party websites displaying our ads have access to your personal details.
However, if you prefer not to see our ads anymore, you can delete the cookies stored in your web browser. To learn how to do this, visit: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647

How long are my data stored?
Your data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, in accordance with the timeframes required by applicable regulations. For example, data collected for marketing purposes may be retained for up to 3 years from the date your account is closed.
Your data is deleted once the retention periods expire. However, it may be archived beyond the planned durations to meet legal obligations related to the detection, investigation, or prosecution of criminal offenses. Such archiving is solely intended to make your data available to judicial authorities. In this case, your data will be anonymized, no longer accessible online, and securely stored on a separate, protected system.
What if I want to modify or delete my data?
In accordance with regulations, every individual using the Maison Alcée website has the right to exercise the following:
- Right to access, rectify, and delete collected data
- Right to object to the processing of personal data
- Right to restrict data processing
