Lanterning
Maison Alcée performs a lantern setting for each of its timepieces. It's a meticulous process in which our expert watchmakers ensure that each timepiece achieves an absolute level of precision.
First of all, our experts assemble the clock to ensure that it functions properly, and that it is free from any defects, scratches or impacts that may have occurred during the various preliminary checks.
Once the assembly has been checked, our experts set the timepiece to the correct time and precisely adjust the late advance. The regulator's amplitude, operation and adjustment are then measured. For this reason, the timepiece is placed in a vertical position for 7 days, then in a horizontal position for a further 7 days.
If a defective or under-performing component is detected, our expert watchmakers replace it immediately, ensuring that every clock that leaves our workshop is in optimum condition for performance and longevity.
After all these careful steps, your timepiece is delicately disassembled and placed in a noble wood-veneered case.
