generation in search of authenticity.

The know-how in watchmaking mechanics and art mechanics of the Franco-Swiss Jura Arc has been declared an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Maison Alcée has set itself the goal of perpetuating this Franco-Swiss watchmaking heritage, from the design to the manufacture of the components of its timepieces.
AUTUMN 2022
The first Persée set is launched, a clock to assemble with your own hands, using components designed and crafted in the Arc du Jura by and for Maison Alcée. An adventure that federates the best partnerships in the Franco-Swiss Jura Arc.

The tradition of excellence in this region dates back to the 16th century, at the time of the Calvinist reform, which considered science and technology to be a noble domain, as opposed to the decorative arts. The Jura Arc is a subtle blend of science, art and technology. This splendid Jura region shares with its Swiss neighbor a reputation for unrivalled quality. UNESCO has made no mistake: since December 2020, the know-how of the Jura Arc in watchmaking and art mechanics has been inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Locating the manufacture of the components for our timepieces in the Franco-Swiss Arc jurassien was very close to our hearts. We are proud to have taken up this challenge, which promises an unequalled degree of precision and finesse, the opposite of easy choices. This immediately places your Persée clock in the mythical legend of Jura mechanical watchmaking, a know-how honored by UNESCO.

MADE IN THE ARC OF THE JURA
Cradle of watchmaking
The company works with some thirty local manufacturing partners, over 95% of whom are located in the French-Swiss Jura Arc. French and Swiss know-how in the watchmaking industry is thus perpetuated by the nearly one hundred indirect jobs dedicated to the design of our Persée.
Just like the watchmaking components in your set, your screwdrivers are also 100% made in the French-Swiss Jura Arc! Their blades have been specially developed in unannealed copper-beryllium alloy, to reduce hardness and thus limit the risk of scratching. This is the first time that this manufacturing partner has opted for such a solution, which will shorten the life of the blade but protect the work.
The company strives to preserve and enhance Franco-Swiss tradition. Our ambition is to pass on this know-how through exceptional timepieces, perpetuating the precious heritage of the Jura Arc.
